✅ Eligibility Criteria
Post 1, 3 & 5 — Assistants / Upper Division Clerk (A/UDC)
- Graduation from a recognised University with minimum 60% marks OR CGPA of 6.32 on a 10-point scale
- Degree must be completed within the minimum stipulated duration of the course as prescribed by the University
- Proficiency in the use of Computers is mandatory
Post 2, 4 & 6 — Junior Personal Assistant / Stenographer (JPA/Steno)
Option A (Graduates):
- Graduation from a recognised University with minimum 60% marks OR CGPA of 6.32/10
- Minimum speed of 60 WPM in English Stenography
- Computer proficiency
Option B (Diploma holders):
- Diploma in Commercial / Secretarial Practice with minimum 60% marks OR CGPA of 6.32/10
- 1 year experience as Steno-Typist / Stenographer (Apprenticeship Training Certificate from BOAT under NATS is also accepted as equivalent to 1-year experience for DCP/DCCP diploma holders)
- Minimum speed of 60 WPM in English Stenography
- Computer proficiency
⚠️ Critical CGPA Rules — Read Carefully:
(1) CGPA Conversion NOT Permitted: If your degree certificate shows only CGPA (no percentage), the CGPA must be 6.32 or above on a 10-point scale. ISRO does not allow conversion of CGPA to percentage to meet eligibility — the CGPA itself must satisfy the criterion, regardless of any university conversion formula.
(2) Where Both Are Mentioned: If your certificate shows both CGPA and percentage, at least ONE of them must meet ISRO’s eligibility (60% OR CGPA 6.32).
(3) Minimum Duration Rule: Your graduation must have been completed within the minimum stipulated course duration. Candidates who took extra years beyond the minimum prescribed course period may not be eligible. Verify this carefully.

💳 Application Fee — Unique Refund Structure
📌 How the Fee Works: All candidates pay ₹500 upfront as a processing fee. After you appear in the written test, a portion is refunded — making the effective cost either NIL (for SC/ST/PwBD/Women/Ex-SM) or just ₹100 (for General/OBC/EWS males). The ₹500 paid = ₹100 application fee + ₹400 processing fee. The processing fee (₹400) is refunded to all; the application fee (₹100) is additionally waived for exempt categories.

Q5. My graduation took an extra year due to arrears/detains — am I eligible?
Possibly not eligible. ISRO’s requirement states that graduation must be completed within the minimum stipulated duration as prescribed by the University. If your degree took longer than the standard 3-year (or 4-year for engineering) period — even by one year — you may not be eligible.
