⚠️ One-Year Apprenticeship Only — NOT Permanent Employment! This is a one-year training programme under the Apprentices Act, 1961 — NOT a regular job at SAIL. The official notification clearly states: “RSP shall have no obligation to offer regular employment to Apprentices during and/or after the completion of the apprenticeship training.” No accommodation, no TA/DA for walk-in. Stipend is paid monthly during the training period only.
SAIL – Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) — an integrated steel plant of Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), a Maharatna Central PSU under the Ministry of Steel, Government of India — has released Ref. No. L&D/Adv./APP/158 dated 17.07.2026 for 1,110 Apprentice posts for the 2026-27 session across three categories: Trade Apprentices (ITI), Diploma Apprentices, and Graduate Apprentices. Online registration must be completed on the respective Govt. portal by 26 August 2026. Walk-in interviews at Rourkela run from 01 September to 26 September 2026.

🏆 Selection Process — Merit-Based Walk-In
✅ No Written Test! Selection is based entirely on academic merit: 30% weightage to Class X marks + 70% weightage to Diploma/Degree/ITI marks. There is no separate written examination. Shortlisted candidates are called for a walk-in at Rourkela for document verification and medical examination.
